A diagnosis of Alzheimer's or dementia of a spouse, parent, or friend is overwhelming, especially when you become the primary care partner for your loved one.

While families typically turn to healthcare providers or local support groups for guidance, these resources fall short in providing answers for your specific environment and experience.

Your doctor or neurologist will see you maybe 4 times a year for an average of 15 minutes per appointment, with discussions focused around medication and disease progression. And your local groups provide access to support groups and resources, but these are generalized in nature and require you to understand and evaluate the correct strategies to implement. As the caregiver, you live this day in and day out, and both solutions fall short when it comes to providing you with answers for your specific environment and experience.

To address the unique challenges of being a care partner for someone with dementia or Alzheimer's, you need personalized solutions that prepare you for current and future changes. This includes customizing your loved one's environment and care plan to reduce the frequency of stressful events and ensure effective management.

Our Dementia Navigation Consultations provide you with the guidance and support you need to navigate the journey of dementia. Our experienced team of professionals will work with you to develop an individualized plan, tailored to your unique needs and preferences. With our help, you can gain peace of mind along with an understanding of symptoms, treatments, and strategies to optimize quality of life,

“Our loved one received a dementia diagnosis almost a year ago and Jessie at the Memory Compass is the first one we turned to help us navigate the process of moving from a home to an assisted living facility and helping us understand the likely trajectory of the illness.  Her compassion and experience has been invaluable in helping us feel like we have a "plan" and we are not alone.  We would recommend Jessie and the Memory Compass to any family starting or in the middle of this journey with a loved one.”
